On Jan 25th,2008, Ministry of Educaton (MoE) held a Spring Festival Reception for representatives of multinational companies in China, and representatives from 33 corporates were invited to attend. On Behalf of IBM, Dr, Thomas Li, director of IBM China Research Lab, Li Jinghui, IBM UR China Manager, Vivien Cao, IBM CCCA Program Manager, Jessica Peng, IBM CCCA program manager and Liu Tingting, UR program manager attended this conference. Officials from several MoE Departments attended as well, such as Director of the High Education Department, Director of the Technology Department, Director of the Basic Education Department and Secretary-General of China Scholarship Council, etc. Mr. Zhang Xinsheng, Vice Minister of MoE made an important speech during the reception to appreciate multinational corporates for their fully support in China education. He expressed his best wishes for further cooperation in the New Year. On the conference, MoE of China awarded IBM the certificate of outstanding contribution to China's education, Dr. Thomas Li received IBM's certificate from Mr. Zhang Xinsheng, Vice Minister of MoE. Victor Kuo, Li Jinghui and Vivien Cao were awarded the certificate of contribution to recognize them as the role model for their great contribution to China's education. |

· IBM UR/CCCA team was awarded the "Education Sponsorship Memento Medal" in recognition of its great contribution.
· Qiu Xiaoping, IBM UR manager, GCG was awarded the "Education Contribution Medal" .
